Are Your Free Leads Really Worth it?

Getting free leads is a great thing, but the source of those free leads means EVERYTHING. There are tons of lead providers out there that sell leads.

Those providers will give you some FREE leads when you purchase a specified number of leads from them. This is nice, but at what cost?

Let me say this:

I know what it’s like to spend money on lead generation and get burned.

I don’t want that to happen to you too. This is why I’m telling you that doing the work upfront for content marketing and networking is totally worth every second, minute, and hour you put into it.

There are tons of theories about leads, and how to generate high-quality leads. There are also certain lead providers that seem to be favored over others.

The fact remains that leads generated without work are going to come to you WITHOUT a real shot of making a connection.

Unless the leads you get come to you as a result of your content marketing efforts or from the sale of your products, then you should know that those free leads are not likely to come to fruition.

Here’s what you gotta do…..

Generating High-Quality Free Leads

Nothing in life is FREE

But you can generate free leads. Meaning, you didn’t pay an outside source to get them.

Yep…it takes work.

It takes a lot of work in the beginning, but there are some EASY ways to build a steady stream of leads over time. Remember, there are short-term goals and long-term goals.

Think long-term for your business. Think about what will sustain you. Yep, it’s leads, leads, leads. You need people that will buy your product or service.

So……..what do ya do?

  1. Build social profiles. Sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and now Periscope are the top sites for helping you build an online presence. You need people to find you. Trust me, just because you do something cool or sell something popular, doesn’t mean people will buy from you. They need to know that you exist first. Don’t be presumptuous about this folks, it’s the TRUTH. It’s an ugly truth, so it’s all about making sure they find you. You need to show up and bring your “A game”. Start with Facebook. Learn how to use it, and then focus on mastering getting your audience engaged in a conversation, and you’ll see more and more individuals asking questions and they’ll start buying.
  2. Content is still king. Whether or not you find value in this, the demand for content marketing is growing. There is no greater way to drive traffic to your website or social profiles than to provide valuable content for your audience. This means many things, but if you aren’t creating videos, blog posts, photos, quotes, and straight up information for them, they are following someone else. Don’t make the mistake of assuming that because you’re cool or interesting, they’ll follow you. Make sure that you put content in front of your audience on a daily basis….of some kind….and they will come back for more.

With these two things in mind, there isn’t much else to talk about except for………your blog.

Get Free Leads With Your Blog

Getting free leads with a blog is work, but it’s not what I call “hard work”.

In fact, a blog is the simplest way to generate leads for any business. Think about it; it’s free to set up a blog, and you share your thoughts.

Granted, make it valuable insights. Don’t just sit and talk about the weather, because everyone knows what to expect in their respective states and countries.

Don’t get me wrong…..it still takes work, but if you measure up how easy it is to start a blog versus maintaining social media, then you’re crazy NOT to do it.

Better yet….

What if you could access a blog that was part of a “done for you” system? You could get the look of a blog where you could add your profile photo, and just start blogging?

It exists, and that’s what I am sharing with you today so that you can start generating leads without paying someone else your hard earned money to do it.

If the goal is spending more time with your family, earning more income, being able to take one extra vacation a year, then what easier way to do that?

Yes, it’s true. I’m doing it right now.
